Baran-Baran (a reduplication of Xalese baran "to shake"; sign is similar to ASL "speak") is a complex sign language used by the Xali. the Xali, though their hearing is poor, can use spoken language as they are not fully deaf; however, they did not necessarily "adopt" the use of spoken language until the introduction of Khingan. most still use Baran-Baran as their primary language.
