nowadays, initials that were formerly voiced have become unvoiced and aspirated.
the name Dawa is pronounced more like tawa in Tibetan. (unrelated: since Dawa Tenzin is actually Kyirong, he pronounces his name with a voiced [d].)
codas in Tibetan can be tricky. what should (or shouldn't) you pronounce? well, it depends:
final Rs elongate vowels and may be dropped, or turned into an approximant /ɹ/ so, par is pronounced something like [paː(ɹ)˥˥].
final l, n, d, and s change the quality of a vowel. bo = [pʰo] (or wo), bod = [pʰøː˩˧˨] ~ [pʰyː˩˧˨].
final n also nasalizes vowels. bsTan-'dzin -> Ten-(d)zin -> [tɛ̃˥˥.t͡sĩ˥˥].
