Xalese, also known as Xalichu Khinkan [zäɾit͡ɕɯ k͡xiŋ.kän] ~ [zälit͡ɕɯ k͡xiŋ.kän] "Khingan Xali language", is a dialect continuum spoken primarily by Xali on Pluto.

Xalese is agglutinative and has a complex noun class system. some of them are very specific and potentially nonsensical.

the voiced alveolar flap [ɾ] and voiced alveolar lateral approximant [l] occur in free variation. however, [ɾ] is more common in Northern Xalese, and [l] is more common in City Xalese.

it is a Khingan language, making the Ankuic languages its distant cousin. unlike Ankuese, Xalese generally has no consonant clusters.

Xalese has two main dialects: Northern and City. There is also Mountain Xalese, however most Xali in the Hillary Montes range have adopted the Ankuic language of the same name. City Ankuese is spoken in and around Natlel and the rest of Tombaugh Regio.
