the Allied Lunar Territories (Tibetan: ཟླ་བའི་མནའ་འབྲེལ་མངའ་ཁོངས Dawé Nyamzhe Ngakhong; Mandarin: 联合月球领土 Liánhé Yuèqiú Lǐngtǔ; Cantonese: 聯合月球領土 Lyun4hap6 Jyut6kau4 Ling5tou2; Burmese: လမဟာမိတ်နယ်မြေ La Măhameik Nèmye), occasionally known as the Allied Territories or simply the ALT, is a "macrocolony" on the Far Side of the Moon. it is a union of five smaller "microcolonies" (also known as Divisions or Districts [རུ ru]) under one goverment. it has the second largest total population, behind the Lunar People's Republic.
despite its status as an official language, the Lunarian language is not used in political contexts nor taught in schools. while the goverment claims the language has simply "fallen out of use", many believe this is an intentional erasure of Lô-ku (Native Lunarian) identity. the Allied Lunar Territories also has the highest rate of hate crimes against Lô-ku.
unlike the LPR, the ALT uses money. its economy is struggling immensely as reaching communism is no longer the government's goal. it is under a violent military coup.
there is a growing level of distrust towards the LPR amongst Territorians. many feel a mix between xenophobia and envy of LPRians' "utopia".
in the LPR, there is a stigma around people from the ALT, believing they're spies or otherwise trying to sabotage the LPR. most Territorians who have moved to the LPR did it as a result of the military coup.
Territorian Cmdr. Tenzin claims it's "a dump" and the people there "are ALMOST as bad as Neptunians" while simultaneously vehemently denying he's ever been there.
